My Big Wishlist from Little Rooms

My Big Wishlist from Little Rooms

Giulia Scalese

Being a collecteur means collecting fashions that you connect with - pieces that can be added to your little closet museum to be treasured for years on end because both the design and the purchase were filled with thoughtfulness and intention.

If you’re like me, and the other worldly turns you on, keep reading! Or maybe you’re like “smh at aliens” but you like art deco, victorian and/or other antique elements, then…

Say hello to Little Rooms, an out there handmade jewelry (and now bag!) brand based in Los Angeles, designed by Ester Delug. Little rooms hit my alien weakness in a big way and since it’s general knowledge (no it’s not) that there’s not enough (good) space shit out there, I feel it’s my duty to beam the message of these extraterristrial goodies to any other weirdos who would also like to show up like “I come in peace.”

Hop on over there to check out everything in the shop, or enjoy my picks below. Happy to say the Cosmic Love Ring isn’t living life on the wishlist anymore, cause I just grabbed one. Going in for the earrings next. 👽

Waiting for First Snow

Giulia Scalese

It’s the time of year that so many of us swoon over - crisp weather, snuggly fashions, hot drinks, spicy aromas. It’s called Fall, and if a cozy product drops during this coveted season, it makes complete sense to indulge.

Eos First Snow - a flavored lip balm with cute packaging, all natural ingredients like jojoba oil and shea butter and a flavorful holiday medley of lemongrass, orange and bergamot garnished with frosted mint leaves - landed on my desk the other day by way of a yummy Fall gift package and this organic little sphere has since become my said indulgence.

I’m a bit obsessive about lip care in general and keeping mine soothed and nourished - especially during seasonal weather changes - and as it turns out, the nostalgic flavor and holiday vibes of this little nugget inspired me to create my own lip care gift kit that I can hand out to friends and co.

Here’s what you’re going to need to create the perfect pouty gift package.

• An all natural exfoliating lip scrub in a delicious flavor like berry or brown sugar

• An in-season lip mask (apple butter sounds good!)

• A flavorful and soothing lip balm like Eos First Snow.

• A plum shade lip stain

Tuck the all the goods into a chic gift box or bag and voila! It’s a perfect holiday gifting situation. Or, think of it as pre-holiday “just because” gift for someone you’re feeling extra grateful for lately.

I’m Smitten Over Staud

STAUD was founded on a commitment to producing accessible, yet innovative pieces for the contemporary woman, and man are they doing just that.

I think I became aware of the brand sometime last summer when they were having an “it bag” moment and quickly fell in love with their charming, yet high style language.

Speaking directly to my aesthetic, their clothing is a mix of fashion (not fast) and practicality. A usually minimal approach with a feminine touch and attention to all the right details. Timeless, refined, wear over and over again pieces at an accessible price point. And their color ways have just been… why aren’t more brands having this kind of fun? I always wonder.

Their bags too, which I believe to be responsible for garnering them the Instagram fame. When gazing at the lineup I couldn’t be any less surprised at how their cult following has amassed with every fashion girl slinging around one of their now-famous netted bucket bags - it’s time to move on to a mini Shirley in bubblegum pink and purple.

Long story short, I love this little brand and not just because they’re woke to good design but they are taking steps in the right direction towards fashion that is less disposable and that’s always fantastico.

Enjoy a look at my current favorite pieces from Staud!
