Death by Nostalgia

$28,000.00

Death by Nostalgia transforms language into silhouette.

Presented as a monumental sculptural garment, the work merges fashion, typography, and emotional commentary into a single exaggerated form. The phrase emblazoned across the dress functions simultaneously as confession, warning, and cultural observation — reflecting on contemporary obsession with the past, memory, image, and self-mythology.

The rigid volume of the piece pushes the garment beyond wearability and into objecthood, existing somewhere between couture, sculpture, and public statement.

Originally conceived as part of The Collecteur’s ongoing exploration of fashion as emotional architecture, Death by Nostalgia was featured in the LACMA Art Parade in collaboration with Jeffrey Deitch.
