FAGUETTE twists one of fashion’s most recognizable handbag silhouettes into something vulgar, humorous, and strangely glamorous.
Built from a modified faux fur baguette bag and altered with sprayed typography, the work plays with the language of luxury, identity, performance, and stereotype. Equal parts fashion object and insult, the piece embraces the absurdity of branding and the emotional theatrics attached to status accessories.
By corrupting a culturally iconic silhouette with crude intervention, FAGUETTE transforms the handbag into something closer to a character than an accessory — collapsing camp, fashion culture, parody, and desire into a single object.
