Referencing devotional imagery, fashion iconography, and the historical tradition of the female form used as structure, the work transforms the body into both pedestal and burden. The figure kneels beneath a floating glass surface in an act that feels simultaneously powerful, restrained, glamorous, and uncomfortable.
