Winter Chairs 1 of 2

$75,000.00

Winter Chairs transforms one of fashion's most recognizable figures into both subject and object, blurring the boundaries between portraiture, furniture, and sculpture. Through surreal distortion, authority is rendered physically ornamental, inviting viewers to consider how power, image, and status become objects of display.

Equal parts playful and unsettling, the work draws from the visual language of luxury interiors and high fashion while questioning the roles assigned to cultural icons. The figure appears simultaneously in control and constrained, elevated and immobilized, suggesting that influence itself can become a kind of performance—carefully constructed, endlessly maintained, and ultimately inescapable.

As one of two works in the Winter Chairs series, the sculpture reflects The Collecteur's ongoing exploration of fashion, material culture, and familiar cultural symbols reimagined through surreal transformation.
